Man Dead In Officer-Involved Shooting In Kensington
During the encounter with the man, six officers discharged their guns and one officer "discharged a less-lethal munition," officials said.
KENSINGTON, NH — An armed man was fatally shot by officers outside a home in Kensington Monday night following a multi-hour police standoff, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office.
The shooting occurred on Olivia Lane at around 10:30 p.m., ten and a half hours after police said they followed up on a mental health call from the previous night because a male in the home was now critically threatening another occupant.
Officers from the Seacoast Emergency Response Team, and ultimately, the Strafford County Regional Tactical Operations Unit responded and were involved in a standoff that lasted many hours, according to officials.
