EAST KINGSTON, NH — A girl died Sunday due to injuries she received in a motor vehicle accident on North Road in East Kingston on Friday, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Around 11:30 a.m., police were sent to a crash between a 2010 Toyota Camry and a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck near the Kensington town line. According to an investigation, while the Camry was driving north, its operator, a 17-year-old girl, "lost control and crossed into the southbound travel lane," Lt. John Hennessey of Troop A said.

"Upon crossing into the opposite lane of travel, the Toyota was struck on the passenger side by a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado that was traveling south," he said. "The impact caused both vehicles to come to a position of final rest off the western edge of the roadway."
