New 'Window Works' At Exeter Gallery

The Seacoast Artist Association is located at 130 Water Street in historic downtown.

Press release from SAA:

During the pandemic, when so many were venues were closed, the Seacoast Artist Association in Exeter filled their windows with rich colorful pieces of art. Their artists were still creating and they knew their community needed art more than ever. This was the idea of SAA artist and then gallery manager, Annick Bouvron-Gromek, who hung the show and added a sign in the window with the gallery email address. It worked. Paintings and photographs sold. Their inviting windows have been a staple ever since. They are always chock-full of artwork by their 29 exhibiting artists, and people strolling down Water Street often stop whether the gallery is open or closed!

There are matching pieces inside, and the windows are completely changed over every three months. This just happened in March, so they have lots of new signs of spring calling out to passersby such as Lynn Krumholz's oil and cold wax "Morning Dew," Adele Buchwald’s oil “Early Morning Row,” Dennis Skillman’s photograph “Great Blue Heron,” and Denise Brown’s watercolor “White Picket Fence.”
