Update: Christopher Daly of Rochester was accused of leaving an insulting voicemail, threatening employees with violence on New Year's Eve.

EXETER, NH — A man from Rochester was arrested on harassment and criminal threatening charges after being accused of threatening employees at a Planned Parenthood location in town.
Officers were sent to the Planned Parenthood office in Exeter on Dec. 31, 2024, to investigate a threatening voicemail. The message, according to Exeter Police Chief Stephan Poulin, “included a person making insulting remarks to the employees” and then stating they would “use a handgun and a rifle to blow up the cars of the employees.”
Police investigated the incident, which led to a warrant against Christopher Day, 50, of Rochester. He was arrested on criminal threatening and two counts of harassment on Tuesday.

“Threats like these are unacceptable and jeopardize patient care,” she said. “They also follow a disturbing trend that shows safety and security risks are on the rise across the country for providers of sexual and reproductive health care. The bottom line is that no one should face fear, harassment, or intimidation while at work or when accessing safe, legal, and basic health care.”
Clegg said the Exeter center was open and operating within its regular business hours.
