NH School Earns National Blue Ribbon, Praise From DeVos

Mast Way Elementary School in Lee was the lone New Hampshire school to win a National Blue Ribbon and praise from Betsy DeVos.

LEE, NH -- Mast Way Elementary School in Lee was New Hampshire's lone recipient of a National Blue Ribbon this year. The school was one of just 349 across the country to earn the honor, which is based on academic performance.

"We are extremely excited to earn this incredible recognition," Mast Way Principal Vaich said in a statement. "It's a testament to the hard work of our students and staff, and I'm proud of everyone who worked to make this achievement a reality."

U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos added, "We recognize and honor your important work in preparing students for successful careers and meaningful lives. Congratulations on your students’ accomplishments and for your extraordinary commitment to meeting their unique needs."

The National Blue Ribbon Schools program is in its 36th year.
