NH Senator's Intern Shouts 'F--- You' To President Trump

An intern for New Hampshire Senator Maggie Hassan was caught on video yelling "F--- you" to President Trump at the U.S. Capitol.

WASHINGTON, DC — An intern for New Hampshire U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan was recently caught on camera yelling "f--- you" to President Trump as he walked through a hallway in the Capitol building. The Hill reported Hassan suspended the intern.

NBC reporter Frank Thorp captured video of the June 19 incident, which shows the intern yelling, "Mr. President! F--- you!" Trump was walking to House Speaker Paul Ryan's office at the time and the intern was in the Capitol rotunda, according to Thorp.

A spokesman for Hassan told The Hill the intern's behavior violated "policies regarding respectful and appropriate conduct."

New Hampshire Republican Party Chair Jeanie Forrester said the intern should be fired.

"The revelation that it was indeed Senator Maggie Hassan's intern who shouted an obscenity at our President in the Capitol Rotunda should disgust, anger, and embarrass Granite Staters," Forrester said in a statement. "But, alas, it should not be a surprise. Just this week, Democrat Congresswoman Maxine Waters encouraged violent protest, and White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders was thrown out of a Virginia restaurant just for working for the Trump administration. Democrats are showing they don't want to work with anyone to solve our nation’s biggest challenges."

Forrester added, "Senator Hassan owes it to her constituents, to the U.S. Senate, to the Office of the President, and to future interns to send the right message."

Hassan, a former New Hampshire governor, is a Democrat from Exeter who was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2016. She is part of New Hampshire's all-women congressional delegation.
