American Legion Announces Veterans Day Speaker, Events

The community and this year's guest speaker will recognize veterans who served during all wars and times of peace.

American Legion POST 35 in the Hamptons announces The 2013 Veteran's Day Observances.  The observances will take place on Monday November 11, 2013.

The Places and times are as follows:

8:00AM Marine Memorial Hampton Beach
9:00AM Weare Park Hampton Falls
10:00AM Public Library North Hampton
11:00AM The American Legion Post 35 Hall at 69 High Street in Hampton

This year we are remembering the Veterans who served in all the wars and during times of peace. We are taking a special notice of the Veterans from American Legion POST 35 in Hampton, New Hampshire.

This year's Guest speaker is out going Commander Ralph Fatello.

CDR Ralph G. Fatello, is a USMC Vietnam Veteran. CDR Fatello has been Commander of Post 35 since 2001. He will officially stand down in May 2014. His 13 years as Commander is the longest running command in the history of Post 35.

CDR Fatello will speak about the many members of Post 35. 

“I want the people on the seacoast, to know a little bit more about the many veterans who make up our great little post on the coast.”

In addition: Post 35 members, Rifle Squad, Color Guard, bugler Mark Weatherby, and Elaine Weatherby will perform the National Anthem at the Beach and later at the 11:00AM service. Also the Seacoast's own WHS USMC Jr ROTC Color Guard. And BS Troop 177 color guard as well.

The public is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served at the Legion Hall following the last ceremony at the Post at 11:00AM.
