The new McDonald's restaurant on Lafayette Road in Seabrook will hold a grand opening celebration.

The federal government shutdown, which is entering its 9th day, has already made its presence felt in Hampton and North Hampton after it forced the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to cancel a public forum on Wednesday regarding concrete degradation at the Seabrook Station nuclear power plant.
The sessions will be rescheduled once normal government operations resume.
Hampton and North Hampton residents can stop by the new McDonald's restaurant on Lafayette Road in Seabrook, which will hold a grand opening on Wednesday.
Cindy Sheppard, the Hampton woman who police say gave Darriean Hess some controlled narcotic drugs and let her use her car that Hess later drove when she killed two bicyclists on Hampton Beach, is due back in court Wednesday.
Hess is scheduled to have a probable cause hearing at Seabrook District Court at 11 a.m.
