Local Flutist Up for Big Honor to be Guest Conductor
The director of North Hampton's Music Makers will look to advance past the final round of a prestigious search Sunday.

By Trisha Craig
Flutist and Music Makers Director, Trisha Craig, has been selected as one of two finalists for Willow Flute Ensemble’s Music Director position. Willow Flute Ensemble, located in Boston, MA, is a group of highly-trained and professional flutists who perform concerts featuring all of the instruments in the flute family. They have been featured in concert series throughout the Boston region and at the National Flute Association's Annual Convention.
For the final round of the Music Director search, Willow has asked each of the candidates to be the guest conductor for one concert. Ms. Craig has been chosen for the November 10th performance, for which she chose the repertoire and has lead rehearsals. This mini-concert will be presented as A Sunday Musical Brunch - welcoming guests with a flute choir Fanfare, saying grace with Simple Gifts, enjoying the main fare of Flutes and Vegetables by Jonathan Cohen, and ending with something sweet, a light piece entitled Pop by flutist Gary Schocker.
