Murder Suspect Due in Court This Morning

Peter Bartolini, 70, of Hampton faces second-degree murder charges in the death of Robert Roderick and Darriean Hess, 19, of Seabrook is due back in court today.

Peter Bartolini, 70, of Hampton is scheduled to be arraigned in Seabrook District Court via video arraignment in the morning, according to New Hampshire Senior Assistant Attorney General Peter Hinckley.

Hinckley said Monday afternoon that Bartolini has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder after he allegedly used a sledgehammer to murder Robert Roderick, 56, inside Roderick's Hampton Beach apartment last week.

Darriean Hess, 19, of Seabrook, the woman who allegedly ran over and killed two bicyclists on Hampton Beach during race in September, waived her probable cause hearing that was scheduled in Hampton District Court at 11 a.m.

Meanwhile, Cindy Sheppard, 48, of Hampton, the woman who police say gave Hess some drugs and the car that Hess drove when she allegedly killed the two bicyclists, is due for a probable cause hearing in Hampton District Court on Wednesday morning.
