Local Police Offering Free Defense Courses for Women

The North Hampton Police Department is hosting a Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) course for women.

RAD is a nationally recognized self-defense program designed specifically for women. This class is open to women only, ages 16 and up. It is a 12- to 15-hour course that includes a classroom session focused on prevention strategies and self-defense techniques practiced over several weeks.

There is no fee for this course.

The course will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on the following Sundays:

  • Jan. 12, 2014
  • Jan. 19, 2014
  • Jan. 26, 2014
If you are interested please contact Jess Miehle at the North Hampton Police Department at (603) 964-2198 before Dec. 30 to sign up. There will be a limit on class size. The class will be held at the North Hampton School.
