Scott Brown Lunches with Grads, Talks Jobs in Hampton
The Republican candidate for U.S. Senate listened to recent college graduates May 29 in Hampton Beach.
Scott Brown held a roundtable with recent college graduates at the Sea Ketch Restaurant in Hampton on May 29 to talk about jobs and student loan debt.
"I appreciated the chance to listen and learn from these recent college graduates," Brown said in a statement after the event. "They told me that they are looking for better-paying jobs and a stronger economy to keep more money in their pockets. These talented young people are the future of our country and are destined to become successful entrepreneurs and contributing members of society. Their perspective and input is critically important."
Phil Boynton of Rye, who recently graduated from the University of New Hampshire, and served as president of the College Republicans, was among the new graduates in attendance.
"We appreciate Scott Brown listening to the challenges we have faced as recent college graduates trying find employment and paying off our student loans," Boynton said in a press release. "We need a proven leader and problem solver to represent us in Congress to get the economy moving again and create jobs here in New Hampshire."
