Trio Face Trial on Numerous Hampton Drug Felonies

Three men face a combined eight counts — most of which are felonies — in Rockingham Superior Court.

Three men have been indicted by a Rockingham Superior Court grand jury in connection to various drug offenses committed this summer in Hampton.

Christopher Ramos, 22, of 248 High St. in Lawrence, Mass., has been indicted on three charges in connection to an early-morning traffic stop on Hampton Beach on July 20.

Ramos faces between 3 1/2 and 7 years in jail and up to a $100,000 fine on a Class B felony charge of possession of a controlled drug with intent to sell after Hampton police found him with an undisclosed amount of marijuana.

Ramos was also indicted on a Class A misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled drug (marijuana) — which carries a maximum prison sentence of 12 months and up to a $2,000 fine — and a violation-level count of transporting alcoholic beverages because he had an open bottle of Grey Goose vodka in the passenger area of his vehicle, which had other occupants at the time of the traffic stop.

Justin Goodwin, 21, who has a last known address of 57 Route 153 in Union, has been indicted on a Class A felony count of possession of a controlled drug (buprenorphine), a Class A felony count of possession of a narcotic drug (heroin), and a Class B felony count of felon in possession of a switchblade knife.

Goodwin was arrested on Interstate 95 on either June 29 or June 30 by state police. Goodwin has been previously convicted on a receiving stolen property charge.

Eduardo Perez, 36, of 41 Ridge Road in Northwood, was indicted on two different felony counts of possession of a controlled drug in connection to a state police arrest on Route 101 on July 27.

Perez was found in possession of zolpidem and Diazepam, and each of the offenses carry a possible prison sentence of 3 1/2 to 7 years. Both felonies carry up to a $25,000 fine.
