Power Outage in Hampton; North Hampton Restored

Severe winds are knocking out power in the area, which has several weather warnings in place.

UPDATE (1:19 p.m.): PSNH is reporting that all North Hampton customers' power has been restored.

Nine Until customers in Hampton and three Unitil customers in Hampton Falls are still without power, though.

ORIGINAL STORY (12:45 p.m.):
Public Service of New Hampshire is reporting, as of 12:30 p.m. Friday, that 51 North Hampton customers are without power, while Unitil is reporting nine Hampton customers are also powerless.

The area has a wind advisory in effect until 6 p.m.

WMUR has also reported that parts of Rockingham County have a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 1:15 p.m.

Approximately 7,300 PSNH customers and approximately 950 Unitil customers are reportedly without power in the Granite State. Spokespeople for each utility company say they will release estimated restoration times as soon as possible.

"Crews are working as quickly/safely as possible," according to a PSNH Facebook post.
