Here are the top stories in Manchester today:

  1. If you have a small business or start-up in Manchester, grants are available to help you export to international markets. "Small businesses looking to expand into exports can apply for grants of up to $6,500 from the New Hampshire Department of Business and Economic Affairs." Adam Boltik, manager of international programs for the New Hampshire Department of Business and Economic Affairs, said businesses could use the money to attend trade shows, translate a website or marketing materials, or meet with potential business partners. (NHPR)
  2. A shortage of school bus drivers is causing delays in Manchester. It's frustrating for parents who sometimes have to wait for a bus to arrive. "Parent Savannah Towne said she had been waiting for her son's bus in the rain for at least 45 minutes." It's frustrating as well for the Manchester Transit Authority, which has posted signs across Manchester looking to hire bus drivers "with no experience necessary." (WMUR)
  3. Catholic Medical Center hired a Pittsburgh law firm to investigate how it handled a controversial heart surgeon. The law firm will investigate how CMC also handled complaints from fellow doctors and staff, the hospital said Thursday. (Subscription/The Union Leader)
