  1. If you plan to attend the Fisher Cats baseball game on Sunday, July 24, you may get a free scoop of ice cream! The Hood ice cream truck will be giving out free scoops of ice cream at the game as part of their New England summer tour to celebrate summer and the relaunch of their New England Creamery. The Hood truck will have ice cream samples to introduce new New England-inspired flavors, including Cape Cod Fudge Shop, Maine Sweet Blueberry, and Green Mountain Mint Chip. The game will be held at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium on July 24 at 1:35 p.m. (Business Wire)
  2. Remember the yacht that caught fire and sank in the ocean near New Castle in June? The 70-foot yacht that sank off the coast of Kittery, Maine was recovered by the Coast Guard and salvage crews on Saturday. The yacht was raised to the surface with air bags, and towed to shore with a modified barge. The luxury boat caught fire near Little Harbor in New Castle on June 18, forcing all three passengers and 2 dogs to jump overboard. Luckily, lobstermen were nearby for a quick ocean rescue. (WMUR)
  3. Good news, Manchester! New Hampshire is having a "successful recovery" from new unemployment claims, according to a recent Wallet Hub study. Last week’s claims were lower than in the same week in 2019, according to WalletHub’s updated rankings for the States Whose Unemployment Claims Are Recovering the Quickest. Weekly unemployment claims in New Hampshire decreased by 44.07 percent compared to the same week in 2019—that's the 6th biggest decrease in the U.S.! (Wallet Hub)
