  1. The men behind the Brady Sullivan empire are Shane Brady and Arthur Sullivan. They own the black skyscraper at 1000 Elm Street in Manchester, among many other properties, and are converting several floors of the downtown location into apartments. In an interview at his firm’s headquarters in the Jefferson Mill at Commercial Street, Sullivan said to help solve the state’s housing shortage, developers will have to "look for every opportunity to expand housing, not necessarily in the conventional ways." Brady Sullivan owns the state’s two tallest buildings and about 60 other properties in Manchester that are valued by the city "at about $220 million." 2. More than 100 people attended a Neighborhood Watch organizational meeting called the Holt Ave Community in Ward 6 earlier this week. Residents met with Manchester Police Sgt. Emmett Macken and Community Policing Officer Anna Martin at 6:30 p.m. asked how they can keep their neighborhood safe to "preserve their quality of life." The officers said neighborhood watch residents should share information "directly to the police." Other suggestions were to establish an email list and download the city’s Manchester NH Connect app to report anything they are concerned about. 3. Have you made plans for the 4th of July? Fireworks displays will be lighting up Manchester and the surrounding communities. In the Queen City, fireworks will be at Arms Park on Sunday, July 3 at 9:30 p.m., with vendors serving food in Arms Park earlier. If it rains, the fireworks will be held on Tuesday, July 5. There will also be fireworks on July 4 after the Fisher Cats game at Delta Dental Stadium. You can find out more about fireworks displays around New Hampshire for the 4th holiday here: (WMUR)
