- Who makes the best hot dogs in New Hampshire? The results of the WMUR viewer's choice awards 2022 haven't been posted yet, but they were in search of the best hot dogs in New Hampshire. This "easy to make" and "easy to eat" popular summer food comes with an endless variety of toppings. On WMUR's Facebook page, some readers were happy to comment. A few mentioned Pat's World Famous at Hampton Beach, another WMUR viewer mentioned Dog Daze in Walpole, New Hampshire. We are waiting to hear the results! - New England's birds are quieter — because there are fewer of them. Since 1970, scientists say we have lost almost 3 billion birds. To help replace the bird songs that have been lost, Simon Butler, an associate professor of ecology 3,000 miles away at the University of East Anglia in the U.K. is trying to reconstruct those lost soundscapes. He is laying recordings of birds to hear what it would have been like to hear the songs of birds 20 or 30 years ago, and to help to make "make people aware that populations are collapsing before they’re gone." - Traveling just became a little easier. If you are arriving at the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport on a connecting flight from international travel, you will no longer have to show a negative COVID-19 test within a day of travel. The U.S. is lifting test requirements for international travelers as of midnight on Sunday, June 12. U.S. Health officials said they "may reinstate the requirement" if a new, concerning variant of the virus emerges. You can read the full story here: (Subscription/The Union Leader)
