Heat advisory: for Eastern Hillsborough and Interior Rockingham counties from 11 a.m. Saturday to 8 p.m. Sunday. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Overnight low temperatures will only fall into the lower to middle 70s Saturday and Sunday night, which will lead to cumulative heat impacts to non-air-conditioned buildings.

- Trader Joe's has recalled its popular snickerdoodle cookies for possible contamination. Trader Joe's announced a recall of its popular soft-baked snickerdoodle cookies this week, due to possible plastic contamination. The product being recalled for possible contamination with hard plastic pieces is Trader Joe’s Soft-Baked Snickerdoodles (SKU# 94075, BB (Best By) Date 02/03/2023). In an online statement, the retailer said: "If you purchased any Soft-Baked Snickerdoodles, please do not eat them. We urge you to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund," the company added. "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience." The Trader Joe's location closest to Manchester is in Bedford on River Road. (ABC News)
- Patrol officers arrested a man after a chase when they attempted to stop him for bike riding violations on Beech Street on July 19. Michael Grover, 33, from Berlin, was arrested after he tried to escape when police attempted to stop him by riding down an alley just before 5 p.m. Manchester's Officer Martens pursued the man down the alley on foot and arrested him after he fell off of the bike. Police said they found a semi-automatic handgun and multiple kinds of drugs packaged for sale in his backpack. (Manchester Ink Link)
- Powerful afternoon thunderstorms, downpours and damaging winds passed through New Hampshire Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Wind gusts of 60 mph were tracked on radar, as well as "hail the size of a quarter," the National Weather Service confirmed. Weather watchers also reported a "possible tornado" near Interstate 89 in Grantham just before 2 p.m. At one point, Eversource reported about 24,000 customers without power. Temperatures over the weekend are expected to be in the high 90s with temperatures near 100 degrees on Sunday. Officials say to take precautions for the hot weather. (Patch)
