County Attorney: Newport Man Convicted Of 22 Counts Of Sexual Assault
Montriville "Monty" Graham Jr. of Newport was convicted on 22 counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault related to 1990s incidents.

MANCHESTER, NH – John Coughlin, the Hillsborough County Attorney, announces that Montriville “Monty” Graham Jr. of Newport was convicted Friday of 22 counts of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault and related charges on allegations that he sexually assaulted three children over the course of several years in the early 1990s.
The Hillsborough County Attorney’s Office acknowledges the courage and resilience that the three victims showed throughout the lengthy criminal justice process that spanned 5 years from indictment to conviction. The Investigation was conducted by a team including now retired Hillsboro Police officer David Cahill and NH State Police Det. Sgt. Kelly Healey.

The prosecution team included Lead Counsel Laura DelCamp who was recently welcomed to the Hillsborough County Attorney’s Office from Strafford County joining the Special Victims Unit. Ryan Dill and Sarah Sheeler were co-chairs in the prosecution which was supported by Victims’ Advocates Merrill Beauchamp and Kim Fillmore.
Graham was previously convicted in an unrelated case of sexually assaulting another child in 1997 and was then sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison then. He was released in 2014. On his new convictions his bail was revoked, and he will be held pending sentencing on April 13, 2023, at 1:30 pm.

At sentencing Graham will be facing maximum sentences that total more than 100 years in prison. John Coughlin, the Hillsborough County Attorney, is committed to bringing justice to our most vulnerable victims no matter how long it takes.
