  1. City Year New Hampshire (CYNH) and Manchester Community College have announced a new service opportunity for part-time students. For the first time, CYNH is offering students ages 17-25 an opportunity to serve 25 hours instead of 40 hours per week. Members of City Year AmeriCorps work in diverse teams for one year at Manchester elementary and middle schools, but CYNH's pilot team members will serve an additional Manchester elementary school. The pilot position offers a living stipend and a $3,447 education grant upon completion of the 10-month term of service. Applications are due by Mar. 24. (Manchester Ink Link)
  2. Avelo Airlines announced on Wednesday that it will launch a new route – its first flight out of Manchester on Jun. 21. Avelo Airlines will offer nonstop flights to and from Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, with one-way tickets starting at $39. The route will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays. (NHPR)
  3. One80 Intermediaries (One80) announced the acquisition of Manchester Specialty Programs. Manchester Specialty Programs provides comprehensive business insurance solutions for home care, medical staffing, allied health, and human/social services organizations. "We are confident that this partnership will help us to further develop insurance products in response to emerging services and delivery of care, particularly to support our accreditation and association relationships," said Lynn M. Vallee, managing director at One80 Intermediaries. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. (Yahoo News)
