- Have you seen this red pickup truck? Police are asking for the public's help to find the owner of this red pickup truck with New Hampshire plates. Witnesses said a man in a red pickup truck with a covered truck bed backed onto the ramp at Mines Falls and pushed the boat into the water where it sank on April 29. Nashua police are asking for your help to find the person they say abandoned the sunken boat in the Nashua River at Mines Falls. (WMUR)
- If you are wondering how many sharks are nearby when you go to the beach this summer, there's an app for that. The Sharktivity app, a joint effort of the New England Aquarium and the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy helps collect better data about shark sightings to help keep people informed of when the animals are nearby. If you have Sharktivity on your smartphone, the conservancy said it helps protect both humans and sharks. Was that fin in the water a real sighting? Don't worry, the conservancy is contracting with the aquarium to employ a shark expert" to verify shark sighting reports that arrive via Sharktivity. (NHPR)
- Have to been to Diz’s Cafe on Elm Street in Manchester? The Union Leader's Our Gourmet recently visited the downtown restaurant that opened two years ago, months after it was featured on “New Hampshire Chronicle.” The restaurant is co-owned by Gary “Diz” Window and his sister-in-law, Judy Window, serves "comfort food made from scratch." The owner's imagined the cafe as the local kitchen for people who live in downtown Manchester. The Gourmet reviewer visited Diz's after the popular Taco Tour that attracted huge crowds to Elm Street. Diz’s "sold a couple of thousand tacos" and did the best business of its history, the server said. That's a lot of tacos! You will find great comfort food, like American Chop Suey, at this comfortable downtown eatery. You can read the full review here: (Subscription/The Union Leader)
