Here are the top stories today in Manchester:
- The Hill Bar and Grille in Manchester is open! Skiing at McIntyre has given way to lush green slopes, and The Hill Bar and Grille restaurant is open for a relaxing and fun family dining experience. Monday and Wednesday are Happy Hour with drink specials. Thursday and Friday are Educator Appreciation Days, with weekly food and drink specials. You will find something happening almost every day of the week! Corn Hole is on Monday. Cribbage games are on Wednesday. Thursday night has trivia, and you can listen to live music on the patio Friday and Saturday nights by the fire pit. There are special events coming up too! - A shout out to the 20 high schoolers who completed a Manchester Healthcare Heroes pilot LNA program. On May 25, LNA Health Careers in Manchester celebrated 20 high school students who completed the Healthcare Heroes in the Making pilot program. They are now ready to begin a career as LNAs to help meet the critical demand in New Hampshire. “I’m so inspired by these high school students,” said Lynn Carpenter, NH Needs Caregivers program director. - Thanks to the Earn-A-Bike Program, 140 elementary school students have earned a newly refurbished bicycle package or athletic equipment package for their academic achievement and leadership skills, organizers said. The bikes and outdoor athletic equipment are to "help the students have a healthy, active summer." The Earn-A-Bike Program was created by the Manchester Community Schools Project in collaboration with QC Bike Collective, Gossler Park Elementary School, and Beech Street Elementary School.
