Today in Manchester:
- Friday is Open Mic night at Manchester's Angel City Music Hall on 179 Elm Street in Manchester. Everyone is welcome. You will hear everyone from professional musicians "to Amy Winehouse wannabes." Jonny Friday has hosted open mic nights for 15 years in Manchester. Open Mic night started at TJ’s Sports Bar (now The Central Ale House) and moved to Angel City Music Hall mid-pandemic in 2021. On Friday nights, you will find Jonny Friday hosting a variety of musicians, stepping in front of the microphone. to entertain the crowd. You can find out more here: (Manchester Ink Link)
- Saturday was a very good night for the Fisher Cats! The Manchester team beat the Portland, Maine Sea Dogs in a blow-out g 16-0 game. Only a day earlier, Sea Dogs Major League All-Star player Chris Sale, on Red Sox rehab with the team, pitched a 15-4 win against the Fisher Cats. - Manchester Holiday trash and recycling update: There will be no trash, recycling, or yard waste collection on Monday, July 4, 2022, the City of Manchester announced on its website. Because of this, "collection of trash, recycling, and yard waste will be delayed for one day throughout the week." The Drop-Off Facility will also be closed.
