- A falling tree struck two cars, critically injuring one driver. The tree fell onto a pair of vehicles in nearby Salem yesterday morning at the Pelham and Stiles roads intersection before 9:30 a.m. Fire crews found live electric wires down and one person trapped in one of the vehicles. According to Fire Chief Larry Best, it was challenging to get the driver out, in part because of the size of the tree and also because so much of the car was crushed. (WMUR9 AMC)
- An unhappy customer received a letter and a gift card after posting a bad restaurant review. A few weeks ago, a New Hampshire Eats Facebook group member named Kellie shared her negative experience at the Copper Door restaurant with over 30,000 members. Megan Fournier, director of catering and events at the popular Salem restaurant, saw the review and decided to send Kellie a letter, along with a $100 gift card. (WOKQ 97.5)
- Montriville "Monty" Graham Jr. was found guilty by a Hillsborough County jury on Friday of numerous felony sex crimes in the 1990s in Hillsborough. The convictions could bring more than a century of punishment for the 48-year-old man. Laura DelCamp, the lead prosecutor for Hillsborough County, praised the three victims who testified during a two-week trial. "They were incredibly brave and courageous to talk about such personal, embarrassing parts of their childhood that they would rather not reveal," she said. (Subscription: New Hampshire Union Leader)
