Manchester Man Dies After Crash On Route 101 In Auburn

AUBURN, NH — A man from Manchester lost his life after a crash on Route 101 on Wednesday.

New Hampshire State Police were sent to the area of Mile Marker 104 on the westbound side of the highway around 7 a.m. after receiving reports about a crash. They found a 2011 Cadillac CTS sedan off the right side of the road and into the woods.

During the crash, the vehicle flipped onto its roof, Amber Lagace, the public information officer for the department, said.

The driver, Ronald Trouville, 43, of Manchester was pronounced dead at the scene. His body had to be extricated from the vehicle, Lagace said.

A passenger was ejected from the car during the process of the crash. They were taken to Elliot Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, she said.

One lane of Route 101 was closed for around two hours during the investigation. State police were assisted at the scene by the Auburn and Candia police departments and Derry and Candia fire departments. Lagace said, “driver fatigue and impairment appear to be contributing factors” in the crash.
