Here are the top three stories in Manchester today:
- A minimum-security transitional housing resident is back in custody after an attempted escape. Jason Pedro, 37, was placed on 'escape status' on Dec. 6 after he did not return from work. Pedro was found and taken into custody on Saturday without incident. Pedro was transported to the New Hampshire State Prison for Men in nearby Concord. (WMUR)
- A Manchester teenager is in the hospital after a crash on Friday. Around 7:00 p.m., police were called to Mile Marker 0.4 in Manchester over a reported rollover. Shane Lugo, 18, ended up trapped in his car, which spun off the highway before landing on its roof. Lugo was rushed to the hospital with severe, but not life-threatening, injuries. (Patch)
- The Second Annual Holt Avenue Block Party was this Sunday, and it was even better than the first! Welcoming their friends and neighbors from nearby streets, the Holt Avenue Block Party has become a beloved tradition. Over 300 people showed up to celebrate as a community and join in on the seasonal fun. The block party raised over $920 for the Manchester Fire Department's Station Eight Firehouse. Four boxed of toys were collected for Toys for Tots as well. (Manchester Ink Link)
