The fires have involved both vehicles and areas of woodlands, according to the Manchester Fire Department.

MANCHESTER, NH — Fire officials are investigating the cause of multiple small outside fires in Manchester Wednesday afternoon and evening.

The fires were reported at 4:48 p.m., 5:52 p.m., and 7:09 p.m. in the same area of Waterford Way, officials said. There were also two car fires in the same location.

The police and fire departments are working together to investigate the fires, which were small and quickly extinguished.

Later, just before 12 a.m. Thursday, another, larger, outside brush fire was reported near Rimmon Acres, according to officials.

"This fire took crews a couple hours to bring under control due to the remote location and thick debris pile," officials said.

No injuries or property damage were reported, though police and fire officials say they are investigating the fires "because of the close time frames and similar locations."
