Here are the top stories in Manchester today:

  1. Two Currier Gallery of Art owned Frank Lloyd Wright homes were featured on PBS Newshour by Special Correspondent Jared Bowen of GBH, Boston, for their Arts and Culture Series. The two residential homes, built in the 1950s in Manchester, New Hampshire, on the same street, created "quite a stir" with neighbors when they were built. The homes are among the last designs by Frank Lloyd Wright and are maintained for the public by Manchester's Currier Gallery of Art. (PBS Newshour)
  2. Gather your household hazardous waste products and help protect the environment by disposing of them properly at Manchester's Household Hazardous Waste Collection day on the second Saturday in May. Manchester residents, this is q perfect time to dispose of household hazardous wastes safely, legally, and for free at the Manchester Drop Off Facility, Saturday, May 14, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 500 Dunbarton Road in Manchester.
  3. A shout out to Heidi Matthews-Cantin and John Cantin who were named by U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH) as “Granite Staters of the Month” in April. Heidi and John co-manage Missy’s Closet, a resale boutique that had their fourth annual Say Yes to the Prom Dress” event in April. The Manchester boutique gave away hundreds of prom dresses to make sure that "every young woman, regardless of economic circumstances," could feel special on prom night. Missy’s Closet was started in by John after he lost his daughter, Melissa “Missy” Charbonneau to domestic violence in 2009. (Manchester Ink Link).
