- The Manchester Health Department planned to spray pesticides in public parks and sports fields to control mosquitoes Monday, Sept. 12 from 5 p.m. – 12 a.m. If the "weather conditions are not acceptable" on Sept 12, the Department said spraying will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at the same time. The MHD announced the plan to spray Manchester's public parks and sports fields with pesticides as they "continue to identify mosquitoes which have tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV)," rating the risk level to "high."
