  2. On Saturday, Sept. 10, Rimmon Heights had a free block party celebration thanks to a city "activation" grant. Michael Wolf, president of the Rimmon Heights Neighborhood Group, said he hoped that Saturday’s community block party in his Rimmon Heights neighborhood will encourage more neighbors to get involved in their neighborhood community. 3. Mosquito pesticide spraying alert in Manchester for Monday, Sept 12 from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. Residents and visitors are being warned that pesticides will be sprayed in Manchester public parks to kill mosquitoes on Monday as the Manchester Health Department said, they "continue to identify mosquitoes which have tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV)," rating the risk level to "high." Sports fields and parks often have evening games when people are more likely to be bitten, the Department said, adding, "We want to be proactive in protecting the public health of the community." Residents must also "continue to protect themselves" by wearing long-sleeve clothing and taking appropriate protective measures.
