Here are the top stories in Manchester today:

  1. A rare North Atlantic right whale was sighted close to the shore off the coast in Hampton, New Hampshire Friday morning. Scientists were excited to see the endangered whale, as there are less than 350 left on the planet. The Blue Ocean Society, NOAA, The Seacoast Science Center and the New England Aquarium documented the sighting from a safe distance. The right whale is known for its unique split V-shaped spray from its blowhole and is so rare that you have to observe from a safe distance of at least 500 feet away. (WMUR)
  2. Have you ever looked up your name on Google and wondered how you can remove your personal information like links to social media, pictures of yourself, and links to your phone number and home address? Manchester's WMUR Rosen Report with Jeff Rosen said you can send Google an official request to remove your personal contact information. What Google won't remove: They won't remove a link if it is something of public record, like a government file or a news article. You can read more about this story here: (WMUR)
  3. Friends of Manchester Animal Shelter are having its annual Plant Sale in Manchester at 490 Dunbarton Road, June 4- 5, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Volunteers and friends of the shelter invite the public to stop by between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to support the shelter and purchase locally grown plants and flowers. You can find out more about this event here: (Manchester Ink Link)
  4. Business owner, wife and mother, Jamie Wood of Francestown decided to find a therapist to help deal with everything "coming at her quickly" due to the pandemic. Wood, like many other New Hampshire residents, quickly discovered getting an appointment wasn't that easy. She turned to online Telehealth to find someone who was available. Lynne Walker, a new therapist in Lebanon, said at least "three to five people" contact her every day. During her internship, she heard that some places were taking "100 calls a day!"
