On Saturday, Saint Anselm College is hosting "A conversation with Ken Burns" with a reception followed by dinner and a conversation with the renowned filmmaker, whose most recent documentary, “Benjamin Franklin,” aired in April. He will discuss the values and beliefs that influenced his life and work and how all can "find shared purpose" in a divided world. The event will be held at Saint Anselm's Sullivan Arena, Saturday, April 30.   2. A pony made a surprise visit to The Bookery on Elm Street on Wednesday after story time. Families had the chance to meet Eddy, the Manchester Police Department comfort pony, at the downtown bookstore where he received "lots of love and pats on the head."   3. Five people accused of poaching deer in Vermont are facing 80 charges in that state, and could soon face charges for illegally killing deer in New Hampshire, officials said. The five men were arrested in Vermont on charges of illegally killing 14 deer last fall, Vermont wildlife officials said. (WMUR)
