  1. A man has been arrested in the stabbing death of a 75 year old man walking near a trail at Nutt's Pond in Manchester. The suspect, Raymond Moore, 40, from Mississippi, had been arrested on Aug. 30 for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, Nashua police said. He was released on personal recognizance bail only three days after being arrested. (WMUR)
  2. Senator Jeanne Shaheen and Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig explained the health benefits of the recently passed Inflation Reduction Act to seniors. Shaheen and Craig told the appreciative crowd the that lower prices are coming now that the federal government can negotiate prescription drug prices with pharmaceutical companies for Medicaid and Medicare. The Inflation Reduction Act also extends coverage under the Affordable Care Act for another three years. Manchester resident, Patrick McDermott, said he was "grateful the bill was passed," and said people he knew had to "keep working to pay for healthcare costs despite debilitating illness or advanced age."   3. The scaffolding is down after 20 weeks for the latest restoration of Saint Joseph Cathedral in historic downtown Manchester. The Rev. Jason Jalbert, pastor of the 19th century cathedral, gave a tour of the finished work on Tuesday. The painting and stenciling work was completed by Swiatek Studios, a company that specializes in restorations of churches and historical landmarks. Bravo, Saint Joseph's!
