How do you know the teacher?
She’s my amazing mom
What does this person teach?
2nd grade currently, has taught k-4 over the last 31 years.
Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?
In any way. She works so hard and puts in everything to her classroom, but most importantly, her students. Teachers don’t receive the recognition they deserve, and I personally see this every day.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?
One of Mrs. Bavaro’s top priorities is her students' happiness and level of care. Of course, the learning and teaching is No. 1, but I really want to emphasize the care and happiness of her students. She treats them each like one of her own, purchasing snacks for students who don’t have snacks or lunch, purchasing little trophies to celebrate little victories for her students, and stickers! They LOVE stickers, so we receive packages of them every week. It’s all her money, and she just wants each child to feel supported, special, loved, and that they can learn in a safe, positive space.
