Toys For Tots: How To Help In Manchester

Don't forget the kids who aren't on anyone's shopping list and pick up some items for the Toys for Tots campaign in New Hampshire.

MANCHESTER, NH — While checking off holiday gifts for family members, remember the kids who aren’t on anyone’s shopping list and pick up some items for the Toys for Tots campaign in Manchester.

Sponsored by the Marine Corps Reserves since 1991, Toys for Tots is organized locally is Remy Waldner.

Last year in southern New Hampshire, 103,064 toys were distributed to 51,532 children who might not have gotten any Christmas gifts. The Toys for Tots program has distributed 677 million toys to 301 million children.

Besides dropping off new, unwrapped toys at several drop-off locations, people who want to support the campaign can also donate online. Toys must be dropped off at locations by Dec. 12. Here is a link showing VFW halls, fire stations, and businesses collecting toys. To request a specific toy, click on this link.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is an IRS-recognized nonprofit public charity established in 1991. The foundation uses 97 percent of every donation to buy toys for needy children.
