  1. A few trees with color are giving residents a preview of fall foliage this year. With cooling temperatures, you may see a few early maple trees start to change color. The drought has also caused some trees to change color, reported WMUR meteorologist Kevin Skarupa. Peak foliage in Northern New Hampshire is typically mid-September, and for Southern New Hampshire, peak viewing is typically mid-October. Ideal weather for bright foliage in New Hampshire is daytime temperatures in the 60s, with cooler temperatures at night.   2. New Hampshire ski areas are getting ready for ski season. In a few short months, McIntyre Ski Area in Manchester is planning on cold weather, a lot of snow, and slopes packed with skiers and riders. You can read more about plans for this year's ski season here: (WMUR)
  3. Election Day in Manchester is Tuesday, Sept. 13. The results will set the stage for the General Election on Nov. 8.
