Merrimack Teen Killed In Head-On Collision On Continental Boulevard
Xander Venedam, 18, was a rear passenger in a Jeep on Friday that was struck by a minivan, driven by Connor Hogan of Hollis, police say.
MERRIMACK, NH — Merrimack Fire Rescue and police responded to a report of a head-on collision on Continental Boulevard near Bailey Court Friday at about 7 p.m.
While en route, responders were advised there were multiple people injured and some were still trapped in the vehicles. Mutual aid ambulances were requested from Nashua and Amherst Fire Rescue as well as an engine from Nashua Fire.
Arriving units found two cars heavily damaged with five injured people and shut down the boulevard while victims were treated. Several people were transported to area hospitals, and a trauma alert was requested for Southern NH Medical Center.

Upon preliminary investigation, the Merrimack Police Department determined a 2018 Jeep Compass, operated by Desiree Venedam, 43, of Merrimack, was driving eastbound on the road in the area of Bailey Court. A 2010 Chrysler minivan, operated by Conner Hogan, 24, of Hollis, was traveling westbound when his vehicle crossed over the center line and struck the Jeep head-on.
All occupants of both vehicles were transported to various area hospitals, many with serious bodily injuries. It was later determined that one of the rear passengers of the Jeep, Xander Venedam, 18, of Merrimack, died from injuries in the crash.

Continental Boulevard was closed for several hours while the Merrimack Police Accident Investigation Team processed the scene.
