MERRIMACK, NH — Happy Monday! This week in Merrimack we have a high school graduation, an opportunity for business networking and road paving project. Here are five things to know this week.

  1. Merrimack High School graduation is taking place this Saturday at 10 a.m. The ceremony will be held on the student memorial field behind the school. Congratulations, graduates of Class of 2019!
  2. Paving begins Monday on Mountainview Drive, Bridle Path and Columbia Circle. The work will include milling the existing curbing. Base pavement is also scheduled to be placed on Seaverns Bridge Road in Merrimack and Amherst this week. On Executive Park Drive, workers will remove existing center medians. Drivers are asked to use caution.
  3. Don't miss out on the chance to network with local business leaders this Friday during the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce coffee talk and networking, taking place 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the Chamber conference room, 4 John Tyler St. Good coffee, pastries and great conversation are promised at this free event. Participants can register at the Chamber website.
  4. Have you entered your float yet? The Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department invites community members to participate in the upcoming Fourth of July Parade. Businesses, local organizations and people to register their floats. Deadline is June 29. The parade begins at 1 p.m. July 4. Call 603-882-1046 with any questions.
  5. The Merrimack Town Clerk/Tax Collector's Office is now offering extended hours. The office will remain open until 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month for all regular business transactions. For more information call the Town Manager's Office at 603-424-3651.
