WARREN, NH – A 48-year-old Merrimack woman sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries this afternoon after the all-terrain vehicle (ATV) she was operating rolled over on the Unknown ATV Trail in Warren. A juvenile passenger, who was wearing a helmet, escaped with only minor injuries.

According to Conservation Officers, Renee Bunker of Merrimack was operating an ATV with a juvenile passenger around 1:00 p.m. She lost control of the machine on a downhill section of the trail; the ATV veered off the trail and rolled, according to Conservation Officers.

Conservation Officers, who happened to be in the vicinity, responded to the scene within minutes of being notified. Upon their arrival, it was discovered that Bunker was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. The juvenile passenger, however, was wearing appropriate head protection and was able to walk away with only minor scrapes.
