Firefighters who first arrived had challenged with water supply and hose lines were brought to the scene from hydrants a significant distance. Crews stretched hose lines to the interior of the house to help prevent the fire from spreading throughout the house, and other crews worked to knock down the fire outside. Nashua firefighters extended a ladder truck to the roof and cut ventilation holes to allow the fire to escape.
Several loud popping noises were heard while the cars burned, and live power lines fell to the ground.
