Send letters to Santa.
Macy's is again running its Believe Campaign in which it invites children of all ages to mail letters to Santa in their special mailboxes located in Macy's stores across the country, and in return donates $1 per letter to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Over the weekend, Merrimack's Vigeant family held an open house to collect letters that Hannah Vigeant, 7, a Wish Ambassador will deliver to Macy's on Friday, Dec. 6, National Believe Day. They collected 134 letters, and had already received 50 from a friend who encouraged her child's school to get involved. Anyone can drop a letter at any time at Macy's between now and Dec. 24. Remember, every time a letter is donated Make-a-Wish gets $1.

Show us your elves.
The elves that come out of hiding between Thanksgiving and Christmas have returned to the homes of young children to keep an eye on their behavior during the holiday season, ready to report back to Santa any naughty behavior. Last year we compiled a fun galleryof the different places Merrimack elves got tangled up in during the month, and we want to see your photos again! Send your photos to Carolyn.Dube@patch.com for an Elf on the Shelf visits in 2013 photo gallery. Share your elf's creativity with others. Don't forget to include your name for photo credit.

Weather watch. Today's forecast, according to the National Weather Service, should be mild and sunny with a high of 45. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 33.
