Two Teenagers Injured After Crashing Into Utility Pole In Merrimack

Merrimack Fire Rescue transported the two victims who had potentially serious injuries after the Saturday night crash on Turkey Hill Road.

MERRIMACK, NH — Merrimack police and fire responded to the area of 37 Turkey Hill Road Saturday night for a vehicle that had struck a utility pole.

Responders arrived and found two injured teenagers in a vehicle that left the road and struck the pole, and damaged a retaining wall near a driveway. An additional ambulance was requested to the scene by Merrimack Fire Rescue, and the police shut down the road so that responders could treat the victims. The two occupants appeared to have not been restrained and were both seriously injured based on initial information provided by police.

The accident is the second recent accident on Turkey Hill Road in the same vicinity. In April, a vehicle left the road and rolled over, nearly striking a house and injuring several occupants in the vehicle.

Merrimack police are investigating the accident and reminding people to drive within the speed limit and avoid distracted driving.
