On the big screen. No plans tonight? It's a little last-minute, but why not be spontaneous and take the kids to catch a flick on the big screen at Fenway Park? While the Sox are in California closing out their series against the San Francisco Giants, the first ever movie night at Fenway, will feature a 20th anniversary screening of beloved 90s baseball flick The Sandlot. The movie will be featured on the Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Vision high-definition screen in center field. Gates open at 7 p.m., movie begins at 8. General admission tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger (free for children younger than 2). Read more and buy tickets on the Red Sox website.
Neighborly news. If you are a visitor of Nashua's downtown, here is a story you surely don't want to miss. The change-only parking meters that adorn the downtown area are being replaced by kiosks that allow you to "feed your meter" with cash or debit/credit card. No more raiding your emergency laundromat stash for change to park. Check out this story on Nashua Patch on how to use the new kiosks.
