Beloved Milford Teacher Passes Away
Jim Sandahl died peacefully on Friday after a year-long battle with lung disease.
Jim Sandahl, a longtime fixture of Milford’s school community passed away on Friday.
His daughter Heidi Davis shared the sad news in a Facebook group called Mr. Sandahl's Angels, which was created to show support for Jim as he struggled with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Davis said wrote that her father passed away peacefully Friday evening after medical complications came up on Wednesday. His daughter and mother were able to stay with him until the end.
Before his passing, students and alumni had sent waves of support through Facebook, email, mail and comments as the former music teacher struggled with his lung disease. Davis said that they had received hundreds messages from students, co-teachers, family and friends.

Musical tributes were even made in his honor as friends and family remembered the life of a very special teacher.
