Milford Teachers Rally for a Fair Contract

On Saturday, Nov. 18, the Milford Teachers Association rallied on the Milford Oval in support of a fair contract. Over 60 teachers participated in the rally with scores of community members lending support as they drove by. The Milford Teachers have been without a contract for a year, and last week, the school board again declared an impasse in negotiations, requiring the Milford Teachers and the Board to go to mediation. This year Milford School District is having a hard time attracting qualified teachers and retaining candidates, and the Milford Teachers Association believes a fair contract will help Milford Schools’ efforts in this area.
