1. Gobble. New Hampshire’s 2013 youth turkey hunt will take place Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28, the weekend before spring gobbler season gets underway. This year marks the ninth annual youth turkey hunt weekend in New Hampshire. Find out more details.

4. Volunteers wanted. Are you interested in putting your compassion to work? Solamor Hospice, a leading provider of hospice care is seeking volunteers in the Greater Manchester areas, including Nashua, Salem, Bedford, Milford, Keene, and Peterborough areas. Hospice volunteers will receive personalized training to assist patients as well as caregivers in need of support at end of life. Some ways that volunteers serve are by providing companionship, reading to patients, letter writing, bereavement support, spiritual care and vigil, pet therapy, Reikki, music and art therapy, office support and more. No prior volunteer experience or medical background is needed. Volunteer training begins in June of 2013 and will focus on personal death awareness and hospice philosophy. Once trained, volunteers determine how often and what area they would like to volunteer in. Space islimited.
