Rainy Day, Summer Reading and Healthy Cooking
Some interesting things to know today courtesy of Patch.

1. Weather Report: Today will bring a mix of clouds and sun in the morning giving way to a few showers during the afternoon. High 82F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent. Tonight will have isolated thunderstorms in the evening, then cloudy with rain likely later at night. Low 64F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 7 percent. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch.
2. E-Court. New Hampshire residents will soon have to use the internet when they file small claims lawsuits in some New Hampshire courts. This starts in November for Concord and Plymouth.
3. Deadline coming. The Wadleigh Memorial Library wants to remind children that Friday, August 9 will be the last day to turn in raffle tickets for Children’s Summer Reading. The library closes at 5 p.m., so make sure you get all of your tickets in before then! Don’t forget to join them later that evening at 6 p.m. for their Mad Science Show at Town Hall.

5. Patch Fact: Gum arabic is a gum that dissolves easily in water. It is used chiefly in making perfumes, medicine, candies and mucilage.
