Riverbend Youth Company to Present 'Thoroughly Modern Millie'

The Riverbend Youth Company will presents their production of "Thoroughly Modern Millie" at the Amato Theater in Milford

Performances will take place on at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday May 9 though Saturday May 11, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday May 12. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students and seniors at the door.

Thoroughly Modern Millie is a musical based on the 1967 film of the same name. It tells the story of a small-town girl, Millie Dillmount, who comes to New York City to marry for money instead of love. She soon takes to the flapper lifestyle, but problems arise when she checks into a hotel owned by the leader of a white slavery ring in China.

The Riverbend Youth Company is "a unique program designed to give young people the tools – and the hope – they need to build a real future. The program supports the mission of the Boys and Girls Club of Souhegan Valley by providing area youth with the opportunity to experience the love, passion and joy of being involved in a creative theater arts process."
