18-Year-Old Nashua Man Dies After Fall From Cliff While Climbing

Colbee Cammarata-Hodgman died at the scene near the Clough State Park in Weare. NH Fish and Game assisted with the recovery of the body.

WEARE, NH — An 18-year-old Nashua man died Sunday after a fall from a cliff at Clough State Park in Weare, authorities said.

On Monday, Weare police identified the victim as Colbee Cammarata-Hodgman.

According to authorities, at approximately 3 p.m. Sunday, Weare police and fire and rescue were notified that a victim had fallen while climbing.

The incident, police said, occurred off-trail in a non-designated climbing area near Everett Dam. The victim was not equipped with climbing gear, Weare police said.

The police department said life-saving measures were attempted by fire and police personnel, but the victim died of his injuries at the scene.

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department said that due to the nature of the cliffs, its conservation officers were called to the scene to assist with the high-angle extraction of the victim.

Fish and Game said its officers were able to develop a safe extraction strategy utilizing high-angle rope rescue techniques.

Weare fire and police personnel and conservation officers were able to remove the victim from the scene without incident, Fish and Game said in a statement.
